Halloween is upon us! The greatest holiday of the calendar year! I am a horror culture addict, so naturally, Halloween is the day around which my whole year centers. Instead of BC or AD, I have BH and SAH: Before Halloween and Sadly After Halloween. I've already decked out my dorm room--well as much as you can while abiding dorm code and respecting my roommate's shared space!--and in addition, have been dressing the part.
(Please excuse my sassy pose)
My jean jacket is one of my pride and joys (along with my Nebula poster and the $1 Wire Pink Flag I found at a flea market), and these thrifted buttons really add a Halloweenish vibe!
I've been meaning to get platform sandals for ages, and these are large enough to successfully KICK THE PATRIARCHY IN THE FACE/make any outfit look awesome as all hell.
Aaaand last but not least, this amazing shirt that I bought from eBay many years back! The Cramps are a great band for all seasons, especially during the Halloween season.
The rest of the week, I'll be posting more ~spooky~ updates, so keep tuned for more ghosts, goblins, ghouls, and sly Stephen King references. I leave you with an illustration from our favorite Halloween children's book that was decidedly NOT appropriate for children, and a great song from Ministry.
Creep it real.
